As you will see on the Meet@TeenHeart section of the website (which is specifically for young people with a heart condition) BHF are promoting their Weekend Conference that will be happening in October this year, in the Lake District. This is the second year the event is taking place!

The Children’s Heart Federation
The Children’s Heart Federation is a national charity and the umbrella body for voluntary organisations working to meet the needs of children and young people with congenital and acquired heart conditions and their families.
The charity runs a free infoline to support families (0808 808 5000) and sends out lots of information and guidance. They organise short breaks for families and for young people and make grants to families who are struggling to cope financially.
Medical equipment such as INR machines can make a huge difference to the lives of many children and young people with heart conditions, so the Children’s Heart Federation raises money to provide these machines to those most in need free of charge. The charity also works hard to raise awareness and campaign to improve the care and treatment of everyone affected by congenital and acquired heart disease.
To find out more about any of the services offered by the Children’s Heart Federation telephone the free infoline on 0808 808 5000 or e-mail info@chfed.org.uk
